The Big Lug called from Richmond last night. Amongst other things, he said he was disappointed with the part of Hanna that hit that part of Virginia. You know what I did last night? I stood around with baylorsr for four and a half hours in the late August sun and heat at a Triple-A baseball field in Battle Creek, MI waiting to hear Barack Obama speak. And then he spoke! Obama's speech last night was both inspirational and a call to arms. We all know that he can write and present an impressive oration but his appeal, for me, goes beyond that ability (though I think it's an important one for any leader to have as communication is an essential quality).
